Foundations On Campus Bible Study, Oak Creek, WI

It’s almost here! This Wednesday night, we kick off our second annual Foundations Bible study series on the Parkway Church campus, and trust us, you don’t want to miss it. If you've ever had questions about the Bible, salvation, or you just want to sharpen your skills when it comes to teaching Bible studies, Foundations is where you’ll find the answers.

This 9-week series is designed to strengthen your understanding of God’s Word and give you a clear view of the big picture. Whether you’re brand new to Parkway or have been walking with God for years, this is a chance to dig deeper, build on what you know, and grow in community with others who are hungry for more.

What is “Foundations”?

Foundations is a 9-week, on-campus Bible study series that will walk us through the essential truths of our faith — starting in Genesis and journeying all the way to the New Testament plan of salvation. Each session builds on the last, giving you a clear and powerful view of God's redemptive plan for humanity.

You’ll gain understanding, connect with others, and have the chance to get real answers to questions about our faith. Whether you’re curious about why we believe what we believe or ready to go deeper into God’s Word, Foundations is the place to start.

When is Foundations?

Mark your calendars! Foundations will occur two Wednesdays each month — the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays — starting this Wednesday, July 9. The final session will wrap up this year’s series in November. Here are the official session dates:

●     July 9 & 23

●     August 13 & 27

●     November 12

And here’s a little bonus: Parkway’s Café will be open from 6:15–6:50 p.m. before each session. Come early, grab a coffee, and connect with friends before we dive into the Word. It’s the perfect way to kick off your evening.

Foundations Sessions: What Will We Learn?

Each week’s lesson is designed to give you a clearer understanding of God’s plan, his character, and his purpose for your life. Here’s a look at what we’ll be covering:

Lesson 1: Why You Can Trust the Bible

We’re starting right at the source — the Word of God. This lesson unpacks why the Bible is reliable, inspired, and completely trustworthy. “All Scripture is breathed out by God…” (2 Timothy 3:16).

Lesson 2: Genesis: The Book of Beginnings

From creation to the fall of man, we’ll explore how Genesis lays the foundation for everything we believe. The first book of the Bible sets the stage for redemption and reveals God’s original design.

Lesson 3: The Patriarchs Part 1: Abraham & Isaac

We’ll dive into the lives of Abraham and Isaac, two men whose obedience and faith shaped the story of God’s people. Discover how their journey still speaks to our lives today.

Lesson 4: The Patriarchs Part 2: Jacob & Joseph

Jacob and Joseph teach us about trust, transformation, and God’s providence in the midst of trials. This lesson highlights how God’s hand is always at work — even when things don’t make sense.

Lesson 5: Moses, The Exodus, & The Tabernacle

Freedom, deliverance, and worship — that’s the theme of this week. We’ll study Moses, the powerful story of the Exodus, and how the Tabernacle points to God’s desire to dwell among his people.

Lesson 6: Who is Jesus? Part 1

Who is this man from Nazareth? We’ll explore the identity of Jesus through prophecy, history, and his own words. Jesus wasn’t just a teacher — he is the visible manifestation of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15).

Lesson 7: Who is Jesus? Part 2

In part two, we’ll look at Jesus’ ministry, his miracles, and what they reveal about his nature. From healing the sick to forgiving sins, every act points to his divine authority and love.

Lesson 8: The New Birth Part 1: Water

Jesus said, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5). This session will focus on the biblical foundation for water baptism in Jesus’ name and why it’s essential.

Lesson 9: The New Birth Part 2: Spirit

We wrap up the series with a powerful look at the importance of the gift of the Holy Spirit. We’ll explore what it means to be filled with the Spirit and how this promise is for you and your family (Acts 2:38–39).
