Have You Heard About Growth Tracks?

We’ve entered into a new season for our On Campus nights at Parkway Church! The focus for this season is our individual personal growth as Christians, and the church will be providing an excellent resource for each of us to grow as believers: Growth Tracks

But what are Growth Tracks, what can you expect from these sessions, and how can you get prepared for your own spiritual growth this year?

Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.
— Proverbs 1:5

What Are Growth Tracks?

In his second letter to Timothy, the Apostle Paul reminded him that it was Timothy’s personal responsibility to grow (2 Tim 2:15). Understanding the importance of personal growth for individual believers, Parkway is honored to partner with you by providing you with resources to help you along your growth journey.

In the On Campus Growth Track sessions, we will provide workshops and a variety of speakers that will share their insights and address common challenges believers face.

Basically, Growth Tracks are a resource that Parkway has made available to assist anyone taking responsibility for their own Personal Character Development. And it all starts with a self-assessment to find out where you should start your personal growth commitment!

It is the privilege and responsibility of the church to provide sustenance and resources, but individually, we have to be hungry and willing to work.
— Pastor Tim

The Growth Tracks Self-Assessment

So, how do you get started with Growth Tracks? We have provided an anonymous Growth Evaluation, which is a survey that you can use to assess your own areas of growth to focus on. This measurement tool will allow you the opportunity to decide on a learning pathway for the remainder of the year.

The survey will give each individual the opportunity to see which track to follow based on their survey results — whether Green, Blue, or Orange. This self-assessment framework allows us to regularly reflect on our progress in imitating Christ’s character traits.

Remember to note your survey results by writing them down or taking a screenshot at the end of the assessment. Since the survey is anonymous, these results are not stored anywhere for retrieval!

The Importance of Personal Spiritual Growth

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.
— Philippians 1:9-10

Personal spiritual growth is critical for believers since it leads to the deepening of our relationship with God, the knowledge to understand his will, and the ability to align ourselves with his teachings. Through prayer, study of scripture, and fellowship with other believers, we can get closer to achieving our purpose: Love: God, Others, Mission.

Spiritual growth also fosters strength and resilience when we’re facing life's challenges. It strengthens our moral integrity, and it even impacts our decision-making. Moreover, it enhances our spiritual gifts and leads to a life of purpose and fulfillment.

Ultimately, personal spiritual growth isn't just about individual transformation. It's about embodying the values of Christ and positively impacting the world around us!

Without growth, one cannot expect to see fruit. And fruit is the measurement of maturity.
— Pastor Tim

When and Where Are Growth Tracks Sessions?

Sessions will be held in the Event Center building in four different classroom locations — one for each of the three colored Growth Tracks and one Spanish session.

The sessions will be a part of our Wednesday On Campus nights for the following dates:

  • March 13 & 27

  • June 12 & 26

  • July 10 & 24

  • August 14 & 28

  • September 11 & 25

We encourage you to follow the same color growth track through the year. Then, you can reassess in the following year and choose the next area of growth for you personally.

Ready for Growth Tracks?

So, how do you get started? Your first step is to take the Growth Evaluation and note your scores for each color category. Then, mark your calendar for March 13 & 17 for this month’s Growth Tracks sessions! You’ll start by attending the sessions for the color category you scored the lowest on in your evaluation.

If you’re ready to make 2024 the year that you allow God to grow you, change you, and develop you, Growth Tracks is a fantastic resource for you!
